What private training does best
Every rep is theirs. The coach can stop, correct and repeat until a skill holds: a weak foot, a first touch, finishing technique. It suits players with a clear gap, a tryout coming, or a new position to learn.
What group training does best
Soccer is played against people. Groups add pressure, decisions and competition: game-like intensity, small-sided games, and the chemistry of passing patterns. It suits players who have the basics and need to use them at speed.
Cost
| Per session | On a monthly plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Private (90 min) | $70 | $65 |
| Group (90 min) | $50 | $45 |
A simple way to decide
- Clear weakness or upcoming tryout: start private.
- Solid basics but freezes under pressure: group.
- Very new to the game: start with BEST Minis or foundational group training.
- Not sure? A Player Assessment settles it.
The coach’s view
“If a player has a specific mechanical weakness or lacks confidence on their weak foot, 1-on-1 private training isolates that habit fastest. But soccer is played in tight spaces against real defenders. Once the foundation is in place, small group training is where technique becomes game speed.” — Coach Alex Taiar
